The output is written to two files which are \u00a0located in a directory called .pbs_spool. Only running jobs will have files in this directory. The .pbs_spool directory is &#8220;hidden&#8221; similar to hidden folders in Windows. \u00a0The &#8220;.&#8221; must be included in the directory name .pbs_spool.<\/p>\n<h4>To view these using using point-and-click:<\/h4>\n<p>Open the File Manager and set View -&gt; Show Hidden Files. Next, find the .pbs_spool directory, and then open the ER or OU file using the text editor (right mouse button -&gt; open with -&gt; MousePad).<\/p>\n<h4>To monitor these files in real-time<\/h4>\n<p>Enter the following command in a terminal window:<\/p>\n<pre>tail -f .pbs_spool\/[JOB_ID].jman.ER<\/pre>\n<p>or<\/p>\n<pre>tail -f .pbs_spool\/[JOB_ID].jman.OU<\/pre>\n<p>Or alternately&#8230;<\/p>\n<pre>cd .pbs_spool\r\ntail -f [JOB_ID].jman.ER<\/pre>\n<p>Where JOB_ID is the running job&#8217;s ID number.<\/p>\n<h4>If a job has completed<\/h4>\n<p>After a job completes, these files are moved to the working directory for that job and renamed to [pbs_script].e[JOB_ID] and\u00a0[pbs_script].o[JOB_ID].
